Kom Van Dat Dak Af (60th Anniversary) (Indie Exclusive) (Purple Vinyl)

Kom van dat dak af is the debut single by Peter Koelewijn under the name Peter and his Rockets. Koelewijn recorded the song with his backing band on November 13, 1959, in what would later became the Bovema-Studio in Heemstede (North Holland); he was one of the first artists who recorded there. At the time, Koelewijn was still working in the fish shop of his parents and was also on the market in Eindhoven selling the fish. There he heard music from Chuck Berry and Little Richard. It inspired him to what is called the first Dutch rock 'n' roll record. To mark the 60th anniversary, Music On Vinyl releases an exclusive edition with four hit versions of the song, including the original version and a live recording. This release is available on Black Friday as a limited and numbered edition of 350 copies on purple vinyl, wrapped in a 1960s replica sleeve.
