Oscar TV Slim Wills- Flatfoot Sam Man
Although Oscar "T.V. Slim" Wills was never a full-time musician he recorded prolifically, usually for his own record label, Speed, creating a highly entertaining body of work that showed him to be a tough guitarist and a witty lyricist, with a sharp eye for detail. His original records, many of which were only pressed in limited numbers, have been serious collectors' items for decades. He remains best known for 'Flatfoot Sam', a 1957 hit which has been reissued on countless Blues, R&B, R&R and/or Rockabilly compilations. Being the first comprehensive collection of T.V. Slim's recordings, these sides are as rare as unicorns' manure, a great number of them having never previously appeared in the digital format. This is a remarkable body of work; who knows, it may even help elevate Slim from his "Great Unknowns" status.
