RPWL- Beyond Man & Time
In 2012, 12 years after it was founded, the Freising quintet RPWL ventured into their first concept album. 'Beyond Man And Time' was a musical journey through the world outside of Plato's cave - and the first chart entry of Germany's best art rock band. The band created themes for each character on the concept album. Well-placed oriental percussions, extensive Moog solos or Indian sitar ensure an atmospheric and colorful implementation. So it's only natural that this musical journey would culminate in a 16-minute effort like 'The Fisherman', finally ending with a deeply thoughtful, tranquil 'The Noon'. The song 'Somewhere In Between', which was short on the CD at 2. 04 minutes, is now included in it's original length of 9. 22 minutes for the first time. The double LP has a total playing time of over 81 minutes. The album is now being released on vinyl for the first time, in a high-quality 180g Double LP in a gatefold sleeve with padded, black inner sleeves and a 4-page text insert! Metal Hammer: "Progressive emotional cinema with a concept can (so) simply be great. " Eclipsed: "Melotron, organ and Indian sounds take you into a fascinating world somewhere between the early Genesis and Led Zeppelin's 'Kashmir'. " Empire Magazine: "RPWL already set the bar very high with their debut. Not only do they certainly have that level, they even surpassed it in various ways.
