Die So Fluid- Not Everybody Gets a Happy Ending - Silver (PREORDER)
Not Everybody Gets a Happy Ending is the second full-length album by Die So Fluid. It was recorded at Criterion Studios, London, and released through an independent label, Parole Records, in the United Kingdom in 2008. It was distributed by Cargo Records. It was released in the USA several months later through Renaissance Records. Not Everybody Gets A Happy Ending is alternative rock band Die So Fluid's second album after their 2005 debut Spawn Of Dysfunction. This three piece London band consisting of female vocalist/bass player Grog, guitarist Drew Richards and drummer Al Fletcher know how to grab your attention with their hard rocking music style. For a trio, Die So Fluid are able to generate an imposing sound between them. Many influences can be heard as you delve into the eleven tracks on Not Everyone Gets A Happy Ending, resulting in a somewhat diverse album. "Gang Of One" kicks of the proceedings with Grog demonstrating her range of vocals as she continues to do throughout the album. Drew Richards and Al Fletcher are no slouches on their instruments both giving strong performances. Alternative rock fans may very well find this is something they really like. I would say that even though I found the first half enjoyable, with "Test Confessional" and "Existential Baby" being my picks, the second half of the CD was somewhat lacking. However, despite this one not being of much interest to metal heads or proggers, if you happen to have a affinity for more commercial, alternative sounds, give this one a try. Pressed on 180 gram silver smoke vinyl for the first time ever.
