Digitally remastered edition of this 1973 album from the British rocker. RIVER was recorded in California and produced by Tom Dowd, with two tracks recorded in London by Eddie Offord. The album contains all original compositions (unusual for Reid). Accompanying Reid, amongst others, are longtime collaborators David Lindley and Alan White. Commercially the record was not a success, but as time has gone by it has been critically reappraised along with Reid's whole career.
