This new release from Trio d'Argent features Asian inspired French music for flutes and percussion. Trio d'Argent is a trio of French flutists Michel Boizot, Francois Daudin Clavaud, and Xavier Saint-Bonnet, all graduates of the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris. The trio was founded in 1984. Since it's creation, Trio d'Argent has been touring France as part of Jeunesses musicales de France. As a young laureate of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation in 1985, the group has given numerous concerts in unusual places: barracks, hospitals, prisons, factories... these concerts convinced the trio that classical or contemporary music is not reserved for an audience of insiders, but can be addressed to everyone. In it's two decades of existence, the Trio has performed in many festivals across the world, particularly in Asia where the flute is the "king" instrument.
