LEZARD is a small jazz bar located at the foot of Sarugakubashi, away from the hustle and bustle of Daikanyama. To mark it's 30th anniversary, the bar replaced it's piano. The bass is extended, the treble is bright, and the power has increased significantly. Masahiko Sato, who was also involved in selecting the piano, played a number of his own compositions and covers of Maurice Ravel and Thelonious Monk. Sato himself said, 'I put explosives in Palladium Explosive, which was well-received as one of my very early works, to stop it from being talked about as my masterpiece, ' 'Salamander, ' a song that brings back memories of his work with Harvey Mason, 'Moth Ball' with Dave Liebman, 'Kaze-mon' with Eddie Gomez, and 'Epistrophy' at Yokohama Jazz is, among other masterpieces spun from his long career.
