One of the founding groups that came to be identified with the smooth sound of Philly Soul, the Delfonics, led by brothers William and Wilbert Hart, were extremely popular in the late 1960's and early 1970's with a string of chart-topping hits including "La-La (Means I Love You)", "Didn't I (Blow Your Mind This Time)", "Break Your Promise," "I'm Sorry," and "Ready or Not Here I Come (Can't Hide from Love)" - songs that were all written by producer/songwriter Thom Bell and founder William Hart.
