Bibi Dens- Bibi Dens & Les Marymbas

Bibi Den's Tshibayi was born in Luebo, in the province of Kasai Occidental, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire). At the age of 14, he composed his first song, "Moninga Alingi Yo, Yo Pe Linga Ye", which was covered by Docteur Nico, who turned it into a hit! After his studies, he worked first as a journalist, then as a computer technician, but by night, he was a singer in the Best, the orchestra of Kinshasa's Hôtel Intercontinental. In 1982, the hotel manager moved to the Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire), taking the orchestra with him. In 1987, Bibi formed his own group, Les Marimbas, and moved to the Golf Hôtel in Abidjan. Bibi Den's composes and performs songs that make all lovers dance: "Fou de toi", "Tout Abidjan sait que tu me rends dingue"... The group tours internationally (Europe, USA, Canada, Africa). His songs are popular throughout West Africa, and bibgi Den's is sought after as a composer by Aïcha Koné, Nayanka Bell, Tshala Muana... In 2000, Denis leaves Côte d'Ivoire, and records an album in Belgium, "Nge Na Munu" ("You and me"), prepared with Yves N'Djock, produced and arranged by Ahmed Barry, mixed by Adrian Sherwood and Skip Mac Donald. Now based in Paris, Denis has set up his own studio, writing, composing and producing a number of artists. In 2010, he signed "Mua Chance" (Un peu de chance), a return to the roots of rumba, blending mambo, cha cha cha, high life, merengue and bolero.
