Chet Baker- When Sunny Gets Blue

Chet Baker- When Sunny Gets Blue
Chet Baker- When Sunny Gets Blue

The last of the seven recordings Chet Baker made for SteepleChase is from 1986. Chet visited Copenhagen in February 1986 to make a TV show and then went into a Copenhagen studio with American/European first- rate rhythm section. It was two years before his tragic and untimely death in Amsterdam at age 58. Baker's life was still shaky but productive as far as recordings and live performance are concerned. "... A rather melancholic session, but one of the better ones from the period. Lacy is a much-underrated piano player. He gives Chet a great deal of room... Lundgaard and Uotila are both thoroughly professional and contribute to a fine, unpredictable set." (The Penguin Guide To JAZZ)

🩷 Open My Records To Avoid Seam Splitting

In order to ship your records to you in the safest way possible, and to avoid seam splits, we recommend removing the record from the jacket when shipping. That said, we will never open sealed records and do this without your permission. If you would like your records shipped to you this way, please add Open My Records to your cart.

We will place your jacket and record inside a FREE protective poly with all shrink and hype stickers intact.
