George Benson- Irreplaceable
Vinyl LP pressing. Reissue, originally released in 2003. Jazz guitar legend George Benson began his career unfeasibly young, recording for RCA aged nine. After a spell with organist Jack McDuff, he went solo in the early 1960s, cutting volumes of jazz and soul before belatedly scoring hits as a lead vocalist. Irreplaceable dates from 2003, when Benson had embraced the slick grooves of urban contemporary, working with Robert Bell's son Hakim, Joshua P Thompson, and fellow Babyface collaborator, Joe. This reissue comes complete with three songs that appeared on certain later editions, namely "Softly, In A Morning Sunrise," "Take You Out," and "Arizona Sunrise."
