Ian Moore- Aerie
Ian Moore has been many things in his 25-year career: A fiery young blues-rock guitarist out of Austin, an introspective balladeer singing heartbreak in falsetto, and a show-stopping bandleader directing the glorious miscreants who make up the Lossy Coils. In a time where artists increasingly focus on becoming more streamlined and easily discernible, Ian has done the complete opposite, diversifying and recombining, searching for new sounds and ideas, and following his own unique designs. This inspired his latest concept, a three-EP project encompassing his three primary musical focuses. On Aerie, the instrumentation is sparse, and the themes are shadowy and contemplative. Using guitar, cello, vibraphone, and voice, Ian sets a deeply rendered tone, intentionally naked and vulnerable.
