Following stints with Erskine Hawkins and Count Basie's orchestras, tenor saxophonist Paul Bascomb formed his own orchestra in 1946 in New York. Featured here is his first 78RPM single featuring his orchestra recorded for the Alert label in 1946 featuring Paul on tenor sax with Burnie Peacock (alto sax); Ernie Washington (piano); Harold Johnson (trumpet); Lloyd Buchanan (bass) and Al Allston (drums). Jimmy Mitchell sings the vocal on "Lady Ginger Snap". Newly remastered.
