In her youngest days, Sole Soma recalls first falling in love with her native Congolese music, then Caribbean music from her short stay in the Bahamas. As a tween in Miami, she drifted toward the Euro-pop sound and underground dance music scene and eventually fell in love with house music. She most enjoyed music that leaned in a tropical direction which reminded her of her youth. A natural born vocalist, Soma began writing lyrics and music in her late teens and then started performing - first at house parties and then a few select nightclubs, and began to develop a dedicated following. A modern take on classic house, the rapturous single "Be Free" sets the stage for is the second EP culled from her full-length release "Pleasure No Pressure."
