Marie France- La nuit qui vient sera belle
Marie France- La nuit qui vient sera belle

The legendary Marie France returns with "La nuit qui vient sera belle", a brand new album recorded with Jacques Duvall and Léonard Lasry. "Jackie Shane", the 1st single with a vintage disco feel, pays tribute to Jackie Shane, the transgender pioneer of American soul music. Marie France, 4 years on from her previous album "Tendre Assassine", which showcased her taste for more traditional French chanson, somewhere between Barbara and Jeanne Moreau, has come up with a light, playful and resolutely pop album. On several occasions, Marie France sings funny, piquant lyrics to disco rhythms, such as "Drôle de Dame" and "Je te croyais mort". She also moves us with tender ballads: "Un de ces quatre" and the song "pardon" "Les compteurs à zero". Finally, she reunites with Alain Chamfort on the tender, philosophical duet "L'amour est innocent". For this album, Marie France reunites with Pierre & Gilles, for whom she is the model they have photographed the most over the last 40 years. The pair present a Marie France out of time and out of the ages in a Parisian night-time setting.
