Dean Barlow & The Tone Deafs- Night Before Last (CD)
Emerging from the vigorous early vocal music scene of the Morrisania section of the Bronx in the early 1950's, vocalist Dean Barlow (born Grover Barlow) gained popularity as front man with the Crickets, a well-liked doo-wop group of the era. Barlow recorded with several incarnations of the Crickets throughout the 1950's and began a solo career in 1959. Although he never achieved major success, Dean Barlow is widely considered one of the most expressive vocalists of the early R&B era. Featured here is his original 1963 single, "Night Before Last" B&W "Yesterday's Kisses." Newly re-mastered.
