Undoubtedly the first soul music family of Philadelphia, Ingram, was a self-contained family operation from top to bottom. The multi-talented group of sisters and brothers consisted of Norman (Butch) on bass and trumpet, James on keyboards, vocals, sax and flute; Billy on guitar, bass and trombone, John on lead vocals and percussion; Jimmy on drums, percussion and trumpet; Barbara on lead vocals and her sisters Francis, Edith and Virginia rounding out the singing. They burst on the scene in the mid-seventies with a string of hits that sold well in the northeast and stretched all the way over to England. Presented here is their classic 1976 album, " the Ingram Kingdom" - newly re-mastered and finally available in the digital domain.
