John Tirabasso- Diamonds Cufflinks & Mink (CD)
The excellent journeyman jazz drummer John "Terry" Tirabasso was born in Cleveland, Ohio where he studied at the Cleveland and Kansas City Conservatories before fine tuning his technique with Charlie Wilcoxan, Jay McShann, and Hank Geer. John has performed with the bands of Glen Gray, Glenn Miller, Woody Herman, Billy Eckstine, Red Norvo, Clair Fisher, Warne Marsh, Gary Foster, and the Tirabasso/Clawson Orchestra just to name a few. In 1978 John released the wonderful rare jazz album presented here, "Diamonds, Cufflinks & Mink" featuring the great Gary Foster (alto and tenor saxophones); Dave Koonse (guitar); Frank Marocco (accordion) and Pat "Putter" Smith (bass). All selections newly re-mastered.
