the album cover for Moonrise Nation - Glamour Child

As teenagers, the indie-pop Moonrise Nation played local bars, put their music on SoundCloud, and recorded a folky, self-titled EP, produced by David Z (Prince, Etta James). It was released in 2014 by his brother, Bobby Z (a member of the Revolution, Prince's band), who continues to serve as an artistic sounding board for the trio. Glamour Child, Moonrise Nation's latest album, was produced by Stephen Shirk (Delta Spirit, Alabama shakes) and took three years to make. A vivid, sonically ambitious time capsule of the trio's growth from teenagers to adulthood, it captures the vertiginous, Millennial high-lows of self-confidence and doubt, happiness and practicality, innocence and reality, feminist strength and vulnerability.

Tracklist:

  1. Common Fear
  2. Eye to Eye
  3. Teach Me How
  4. Petty Games
  5. Demo Day
