San Francisco born pianist and composer Paulena Carter was something of a child prodigy - she started her career as pianist at the tender age of seven, and performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra at age thirteen in 1943. Presented here is a rare recording from the late 1950's in which Ms. Carter displays her formidable skills in a wide ranging program from Chopin to Gershwin. Classic audiophile recording, newly remastered.
