Treetop & the Soul Branches- Inside Out / Don't Go Away (Digital 45)
Treetop & the Soul Branches- Inside Out / Don't Go Away (Digital 45)

Presented here is a ultra rare soul single from the legendary South Florida based Tropical Records label that operated in the late 1960s and early 1970s in the historic African American dominated Overton section of Miami - ground zero for real-deal rhythm and blues music in Miami. The artist known as Treetop was a great singer and multi-instrumentalist who was very popular on the local scene, along with other South Florida soul stars of the time such as Little Beaver, Eddie Holloway, Frankie Seay and The Soul Riders, Rufus Beacham, Ruby Andrews and David Hudson. Treetop was a member of the house band at the Sir John Knight Beat Club on NW 6th Street in Overton, his band also played frequently at Shantel's Lounge on NW 7th Street just a short distance from where the Tropical Records building was located. One of his only known recordings, Treetop And The Soul Branches lone 45, "Inside Out" b/w "Don't Go Away" features a lo-fi funky instrumental on Side A and stirring soul ballad on the flip. Copies of the original vinyl are extremely rare and fetch hundreds of dollars on collectors sites for a single copy. Presented here is the much sought after single, newly remastered for this exclusive release and finally made available in the digital domain.
