Fall Babylon Fall (1992) introduced the world to Sweden's Veni Domine, a band unlike anything else in the metal scene at the time. Combining the progressive flair of Queensrÿche with strong hints of the heavy doom-laden atmosphere for which the band would become known. Veni Domine created a sound both operatic and apocalyptic. Lyrically rooted in Scripture and end-time visions, the album quickly became a cult classic for fans of dramatic, thought-provoking metal.This deluxe reissue from Melodic Passion brings new life to the landmark debut. The album has been fully remastered by Carl Johan Grimmark (guitarist for Swedish prog-power legends Narnia) and packaged with breathtaking new artwork from fantasy master Rodney Matthews. The CD edition comes housed in a jewel case with a 16-page deluxe booklet featuring full lyrics, exclusive band photos, and an extensive band history essay that continues through the band's follow-up, Material Sanctuary. Only 475 copies of the CD have been pressed worldwide.As a bonus, the CD includes the rare 1997 track "Visions," originally recorded for the Japanese reissue. Fans who opt for the 2LP gatefold vinyl edition will also receive two additional brand-new acoustic-based recordings, "In the Day of the Sentinel" and "Wisdom Calls," making the vinyl edition the definitive collector's version.
