The cornett (also known as the cornetto or zink) is an early wind instrument that dates from the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque periods. William Dongois is one of the best-known cornet players of our time. On the present double CD, together with the ensemble Le Concert Brise, he dedicates himself to the "Golden Age" of the cornett - the period between 1580 and 1630 in Northern Italy.
