Cannonball Adderley- Somethin' Else [Import]

Julian Edwin "Cannonball" Adderley (September 15, 1928 - August 8, 1975) was a jazz alto saxophonist of the hard bop era of the 1950s and 1960s. Adderley is remembered for his work with trumpeter Miles Davis, including the album "Somethin' Else" (1958). This was recorded during Adderley's membership in the Miles Davis Sextet, and is one of the few post- 1955 appearances of Miles Davis as a sideman. Indeed, Davis plays several of the first solos, composed the bluesy title track and, according to the liner notes, chose most of the material. "Autumn Leaves" would remain in the Davis book, and "Love for Sale" would be recorded by the Davis Sextet a little over two months later. Limited edition on solid yellow & transparent green vinyl.
