Alain Jean-Marie- Biguine Reflections
For those who love beguine and Alain Jean-Marie's piano playing, here is the re-release of the "Biguine Reflections," the trio's debut album cut in March 1992. Jean-Marie interprets the great 'wabap' classics, the new form of beguine invented in the early '50s by Al Lirvat and Robert Mavounzy, following the lines of bebop. This avant-garde touch is brought back to life with Alain's piano acting as an entire band, though the essence of the original compositions still remains.
