Chicago's Mike Kinsella continually reinvents and refines the musicianship that has followed him since his drumming days in Cap'n Jazz over a decade ago. I DO PERCIEVE is no different the follow-up to 2004s THE EP continues the collaborative direction Mike has been taking with Owen. This time, cousin Nate Kinsella (Make Believe, Joan of Arc) lends asssistance both on instrumentation and soundboard, helping to create eight grogeous cuts above and beyond anything Owen has done before. While the poetic songwriing and intricate musicianship of previous release remain, upbeat arrangements accompany each song's development, culminating in an effect that's both majestic and wonderful.
