A great vocal group popular on the New York doo-wop scene of the late 1950s and early 60s, The Classics formed in Brooklyn, New York in 1958, and are best known for cracking the Top 20 in the US with their 1963 doo-wop version of the Mills Brothers' hit 'Till Then." The group, originally name the Perennials before they changed the name to The Classics, all hailed from Brooklyn, and were comprised of Emil Stucchio (lead vocals), Tony Victor (first tenor), Johnny Gambale (second tenor), and Jamie Troy (bass vocals). Featured here is one of their last releases, originally issued in 1964 on the Musicnote label. "Too Young" b/w "Who's Laughing, Who's Crying" offers a fine ballad on the "A" side and a spot-on cover of The Chalet's "Who's Laughing, Who's Crying" on the flip
