Montrose- Paper Money - Darkside Records
Montrose- Paper Money - Darkside Records

Limited clear red colored vinyl LP pressing. The '70s gave us a slew of classic hard rock albums - the likes of which may never be equaled. Montrose's eponymous debut proved equally influential and important in it's day. Released in 1973, the record also introduced a young Sammy Hagar to the world, but the explosive aggression of Ronnie Montrose's biting guitar left no doubt as to why it was his name gracing the cover. However, it was the band's 1974 follow-up Paper Money, home to the singles "Paper Money" and "I Got the Fire," that would actually serve as Montrose's highest charting album and it was the last with Hagar in the fold. Montrose's first two albums would ultimately help shape and influence many of the hard rock bands that followed, including Van Halen and Iron Maiden.
