Dr. Dog- Takers & Leavers (CD)
Dr. Dog has been creating music in various incarnations in their hometown of Philadelphia for nearly four years now, starting with their humble first release THE PSYCHEDLIC SWAMP, a concept album realized in the dam ruin of a flooded basement, through the recently recorded EAST EAT, which finds the band much more lyrically and musically complex. Most recently, the band has compiled TAKERS AND LEAVERS, a dramatic step up in terms of production and fidelity, and a grand preview to the LP coming up in early 2007. "Philadelphia's psychedelic tradition extends from Bardo Pond to Sun Ra and Dr. Dog add a swampy impermeability and WHITE ALBUM fixation to that signature sound - Spin"
Tracklist:
- Ain't It Strange
- Goner
- Mom Song
- Die Die Die
- California
- Livin' a Dream
