Label > Reservoir Recordings

The Marshall Tucker Band's self-titled 1973 debut is the quintessential sound of Southern rock: country twang, blues muscle, jazz looseness, and road-tested jam-band confidence all locked into one easy groove. Anchored by ""Can't You See"" and ""Take theHighway,"" the album introduced the Spartanburg, South Carolina band with a warmer, more wide-open feel than a lot of hard-charging Southern rock of the era. It became a strong early statement, reaching No. 29 on the Billboard 200 and later earning RIAA Gold certification. A solid, front-to-back debut that still feels loose, lived-in, and built to play loud. This 3LP deluxeedition features the original album, live versions, demos, and more.

Tracklist:

  1. Take the Highway
  2. Can't You See
  3. Losing You
  4. See You Later, I'm Gone

  7. Take the Highway (Demo)
