We Five was a San Francisco based folk rock group best known for their 1965 remake of Ian and Sylvia's "You Were on My Mind", which rose to #1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. The band was formed by Michael Stewart, brother of John Stewart of the Kingston Trio, with core members Bob Jones (Baritone-Tenor, 6-String Electric Jazz Guitar, 12-String Electric Guitar); Peter Fullerton (Tenor, Acoustic & Fender Bass); Jerry Burgan (Tenor, 6-String Acoustic Guitar) and lead singer Beverly Bivens (Low Tenor to High Soprano, Rhythm Guitar). The group recorded two albums with Debbie Burgan singing lead; replacing Bivens, who left the group in late 1966: 1969's Return of the We Five and 1970's Catch the Wind, presented here.
