A new trend in jazz from a young talent who will lead the next generation! Aoi Murakoshi is a 19-year-old saxophonist currently studying at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. Her new album 'Out of the Blue' is sure to be a hot topic! Jazz saxophonist Aoi Murakoshi's second album 'Out of the Blue' will be released on August 6, 2025! Aoi Murakoshi has been active since her junior high and high school days, winning third place in the 'Super Saxophone Contest 2022 Alto Edition' sponsored by Sax World and the Berklee Award at the 'Youth Jam Session 2022' by SAPPORO CITY JAZZ. Last year, upon graduating from high school, she made her CD debut with her first album 'BiCOLORE.' released by Trilogic. In the same year, she won a Presidential Scholarship (full exemption from tuition, dormitory fees, etc.) to study at Berklee College of Music in the United States. Currently, he has been selected by Grammy Award-winning drummer Terri Lynn Carrington and is actively working despite being a student, such as performing at the Panama Jazz Festival held in Panama. The new album 'Out of the Blue' is produced by Etsushi Ogawa, as with the previous album, and the recording members include Jun Tomoda, Yoshihiro Kaneko, and Genki Hashimoto. In addition, the album contains three original songs, including the title song 'Out of the Blue' written specifically for this album and 'Hill, ' inspired by the phrases of trumpeter Marquis Hill, who is his teacher at Berklee College of Music. In addition, the album contains five cover songs, such as 'Downtime' by five-time Grammy Award-winning jazz pianist Robert Glasper and 'Liquid Streets' by trumpeter Roy Hargrove, for a total of eight songs.
