Charlie Singleton- Deep Purple / Ocean Liner (Digital 45) (Mod) (CD)
The great bandleader and saxophonist Charlie Singleton's classic take on the time-honored instrumental standard "Deep Purple," featuring some high register scatting from vocalist Hattie Green, first appeared on a 78 RPM single from the New York City based Atlas label in 1952. On the B-side was a Singleton instrumental original titled "Ocean Liner," an elegantly funky affair that features Singleton's wonderfully laid back saxophone against a sympathetic, buoyant rhythm section. Both tracks have been remastered for this release with the "lost" Ocean Liner finally made available in the digital domain.
> Due to the current limited nature of music titles, ALL CD & Vinyl purchases are limited to FOUR copies per customer, per item. If you place multiple orders for multiples of the same title, your subsequent orders will be canceled.
