It all began with Crumbächer's debut masterpiece, Incandescent. Originally released in April 1985 on Broken Records, this landmark album established the foundational sound of a band that would become an important force in Christian new wave and alternative pop. Featuring "Jamie," the first song Stephen Crumbächer ever wrote, Incandescent captures a young, hungry band combining infectious rhythms, synth-driven arrangements, and profound lyrical truth. The album earned Crumbächer recognition as one of CCM's top new bands of the year. Now receiving the Girder Treatment™, Incandescent has been remastered from the finest available source elements to maximize the punch, clarity, warmth, and stereo separation of the original studio recording. This collector's edition also includes the previously hard-to-find bonus track "It Don't Matter" from the What's Shakin' 1984 compilation.
